Just like the first reviewer, people I spoke with on my phone while using this case said they heard their voice echoing. I tested this with someone using my phone uncased as well as another case I have and both worked fine. Then I put this case on and called him back; lo and behold, ECHOes! OtterBox wasn’t very helpful either. Other than the echoing, the case is great, but I don’t want everyone I talk to to hear their own voice echoed whenever they talk to me.
I should have heeded the first reviewer’s advice. Don’t get this case. I also did some searching and many people seem to experience this same problem with other OtterBox cases for this phone. So be careful.

I bought this and it echoed my voice to the other party on the line every time I was on the phone. I had to return it. Otterbox is aware of the problem and I guess is trying to fix the problem. Otherwise I love these cases for the iphone. But, for the Blackbery 8900 it just doesn’t work.

This Otter Box case proved to be the real deal. I have a habit of placing my phone on the roof of my car before getting settled to drive. Two days after I received the case I did it again. I heard the phone roll off my roof at 40 MPH saw it hit the street skid roll and bounce a few times. I expected to have a broken phone if not a completely destroyed device. To my surprise the phone was undamaged and the case looked as though it came right out of the packaging. Not one scratch was evident on the case and the phone works perfectly.
The case adds a bit of heft to the phone. I don’t mean it is big or heavy but in the case it feels solid. It slides in and out of my shirt pocket with ease. I have no fear of dropping the phone on any surface and I can tell you I bought one for my girlfriend’s phone the next day. You want your phone to be safe then this is the case for you.
One draw back is that once the case is on it is not convenient to take it off. I have a docking desk charger that requires the naked phone to make a charging connection. I cannot use the phone with the dock without taking of the case. It is a small inconvenience I can live without. The phone’s ports and control buttons are easily accessable with the case on including the chargeing port.
